Common questions

Does it cost me anything?
No. The partner programme is completely free. Your clients use TradeDocket on the free tier (20 scans/month) or can choose to pay for unlimited scans. There's no cost to you at any point.
What does my client need to do?
They sign up at app.tradedocket.co.uk (or download from the App Store / Google Play), and start photographing receipts. That's it. No accounting knowledge needed — the AI handles categorisation.
How do I get the data?
Your partner portal shows a summary for all connected clients (receipt count, total spend, categories). When clients are on the Pro+Accountant plan, you get full access to individual receipts, receipt images, and CSV export (Standard, Xero, QuickBooks) directly from the portal. Clients on the free or Pro plan can also create share links for one-off scoped access.
Is the data HMRC-compliant?
Yes. TradeDocket maps every receipt to SA103 expense categories. The original receipt image is stored alongside the data, meeting HMRC digital record-keeping requirements. Capital allowances are auto-flagged for power tools over £200.
Is client data secure?
Absolutely. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted in UK data centres (Azure UK South), and isolated per user. Share links are time-limited, revocable, and GDPR-compliant. We use bank-level security with Auth0 authentication.
